～日韓の社会課題解決型スタートアップ育成を目指して～

国立大学法人一橋大学大学院ソーシャル・データサイエンス研究科（東京都国立市、学長：中野 聡研究科長：渡部 敏明、以下「一橋大学ソーシャル・データサイエンス研究科」）および韓国のアントレプレナーシップ教育企業underdogs.（ソウル特別市鍾路区、CEO：Kim Jeongheon、以下「underdogs.社」）は、日韓両国における社会課題解決型スタートアップの育成と、起業家教育の発展に向けた教育・研究協力の検討を開始しました。

1. 教育・研究協力検討の背景と目的

近年、社会課題解決型のスタートアップに注目が集まる中、アジア地域内での人材交流や教育プログラムの連携強化が求められています。一橋大学ソーシャル・データサイエンス研究科と韓国のunderdogs.社は、互いの強みを生かした教育・研究協力を通じて、両国の学生や若手起業家が国境を超えて活躍できる環境の構築を目指します。本協力関係の検討は、一橋大学ソーシャル・データサイエンス研究科の学術研究と教育の質向上、およびunderdogs.社の実践的な起業家育成ノウハウの共有を目的としています。

2. 教育・研究協力に向けた取り組み

両者は、以下の取り組みから協力関係を構築し、実績を積み重ねた上で、将来的には教育・研究に関する了解覚書（MOU）の締結を検討していきます。
（1）共同イベントの開催：「SusHi Tech Tokyo」などの起業家育成イベントにおける連携
（2）教育プログラムの共同開発：社会課題解決型スタートアップの育成に関するカリキュラム検討
（3）研究交流：日韓両国の起業家教育に関する事例研究や共同研究の可能性検討
（4）学生交流：短期ワークショップや研修プログラムを通じた相互交流の促進

一橋大学ソーシャル・データサイエンス研究科では、データサイエンスの知見を活用して社会課題を解決できる人材の育成に取り組んでいます。そのような中で、韓国で実績のあるunderdogs.社との教育・研究協力の検討は、国際的な視野を持った人材育成の貴重な機会となります。まずは「SusHi Tech Tokyo」でのパネルディスカッションなど具体的な連携から始め、実績を積み重ねながら、将来的なMOU締結に向けた検討を進めていきたいと考えています。

4. 今後の予定

2025年5月に開催される「SusHi Tech Tokyo」でのパネルディスカッションを皮切りに、両者は様々な教育・研究協力の取り組みを検討していきます。その実績を踏まえ、2025年度中に教育・研究に関する了解覚書（MOU）の締結を目指します。

　～Aiming to Nurture Social Problem-Solving Startups in Japan and Korea～

The Graduate School of Social Data Science at National University Corporation Hitotsubashi University (Kunitachi City, Tokyo; Dean of Graduate SchoolPresident: Satoshi NakanoToshiaki Watanabe; hereinafter “The Graduate School of Social Data Science at Hitotsubashi UniversityHitotsubashi University”) and Korean entrepreneurship education company underdogs. (Jongno-gu, Seoul Special City; CEO: Kim Jeongheon; hereinafter “underdogs.”) have begun discussions on educational and research collaboration aimed at nurturing social problem-solving startups and developing entrepreneurship education in both Japan and Korea.

1. Background and Purpose of the Educational and Research Collaboration

With increasing attention on startups that address social challenges, there is a growing need to strengthen human resource exchange and educational program collaboration within the Asian region. The Graduate School of Social Data Science at Hitotsubashi University and Korea’s underdogs. aim to build an environment where students and young entrepreneurs from both countries can thrive across borders through educational and research collaboration that leverages their respective strengths. This collaboration aims to enhance the quality of academic research and education at the Graduate School of Social Data Science at Hitotsubashi University and to share underdogs.’ practical know-how in entrepreneurship development.

2. Initiatives Toward Educational and Research Collaboration

Both parties will build their collaborative relationship through the following initiatives and consider signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on education and research in the future, after establishing a track record of successful collaboration:
(1) Joint Events: Collaboration at entrepreneurship development events such as “SusHi Tech Tokyo”
(2) Joint Development of Educational Programs: Curriculum planning for nurturing social problem-solving startups
(3) Research Exchange: Case studies and exploration of joint research possibilities on entrepreneurship education in Japan and Korea
(4) Student Exchange: Promotion of mutual exchange through short-term workshops and training programs

4. Future Plans

Starting with the panel discussion at “SusHi Tech Tokyo” to be held in May 2025, both parties will explore various educational and research collaboration initiatives. Based on these achievements, they aim to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on education and research during the 2025 academic year.
